Unaccompanied minor Service (UMNR)
Our UNACCOMPANIED MINOR SERVICE has been created to guarantee that you child boards the plane, is presented to the cabin crew personnel, is escorted during the connections and is finally delivered to the right person at the destination airport.
The fee for the unaccompanied minor service is:

We do not accept unaccompanied minors whose itineraries include:
A connecting flight from/to a flight from any other airline.
Connections via land or between co-terminals (unaccompanied minors under the age of 15 are not permitted to use ground transportation on their own).
Minors who arrive at the airport counter without a tutor or legal guardian.
Specifications for Unaccompanied Minors:
Age Range and Restrictions:
0-5 :Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to travel alone under any circumstances.
5-16: Can only travel on direct flights or without stopovers.
16 and on: Passengers who are 16 years old and older are not required to request this service, however the optional service is available, should the passenger have any disability and is traveling alone.
At the airport / Check-in and required documents:
On the day of the flight, you will fill out the form for unaccompanied minor at the airport counter and will also fill out the required immigration paperwork required. The forms will remain with the minor during the flight.
In addition:
You will need to provide any documentation to prove that the age of the minor who is traveling (birth certificate, passport, etc.)
One of the parents or the designated accompanying adult will have to wait at the airport and remain there until the plane has taken off.
Receiving and/or delivering the unaccompanied minor
At the check-in counter, the minors will have to be accompanied by a legal guardian, parent or family member who is of legal age with proper photo ID, who will the one to deliver the minor to the airline staff and who will complete the required forms. Just the same, the UMNR will need to have all necessary documents to travel, such as passport, visa and legal permissions to enter/depart the country.
Lastly, the accompanying adult will need to wait at the airport until the official departure of the flight, whether being notified by airline staff or by the screens, this is to avoid any issues in the event of delays or cancellations.
Irregularities in the flight schedule
In case of a flight change or cancellation, or should there be any irregularity in the flight schedule in any city and there is a possibility that the minor won't arrive to his/her destination, we will call the contact person in the unaccompanied minor form and will coordinate an alternate flight if necessary.
Is your child traveling outside his/her Country of Origin?
At some airports, you may not be able to escort the minor through security check points. In these cases, after doing the check-in, a representative of Aruba Airlines will escort the minor to the terminal gate, staying under his/her supervision until the flight has taken off.
Any minor under the age of 18 traveling on an international flight without both parents must present a Consent Letter or Certified Travel Permit issued by the local registry.
